I remember when i heard the news. I was in a bowling alley, vacationing with my family, when I got a million im's, emails, tweets, and texts saying MJ had passed away. I didnt believe it, no one did. Mediatakeout or some other site had reported on it &- i thought it was just bullshit, so i locked my phone, put my headphones in, and went on about my day. That night, when walked in my cousin's door, the tv was left on. Reporters were telling of Michael Jackson passing away. Me not paying attention & being drowsy had brushed it off. The next morning, tweeting was on overload and i still didnt believe it. I lived in denial until the actual funeral service on tv. Then i broke down into tears. Yeah, sure i hadnt known the man personally, and proabably would never meet him, but it felt like i lost someone close to me. I grew up on MJ's music. The artist that broke barriers, none will ever accomplish the things he had or even move the way he moved. Everyones saying hes a Icon, blah blah blah... that man was the African American Dream. You'll be greatly missed<3 "/
